The Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve is completely automatic and will re-seat after either temperature or pressure relief. Provides protection to EN1490 from the dangerous build up of pressure which can be caused by overheating within an unvented hot water system
The valve is designed to be fitted in the upper portion of the cylinder as this is where the hottest system temperatures will be found. If the system temperature rises beyond 95C the wax mixture within the element of the temperature probe will expand and this will lift the valve off of it's seat and relive water to waste and therefore reducing the pressure inside the cylinder.
Incorporates an inert thermal element coating:
Provides effective isolation from mineral deposits (liming) and
galvanic corrosion.
